Facebook Introduces the Embedded posts

Facebook has recently launched the ability to embed Facebook posts on websites! The code can be easily posted on your website, blog, etc and will embed all public statuses, photos, videos, and hashtags — and users will be able to interact directly with the embedded content. They can like and share the post, like or follow the post author, or view the author’s Timeline without leaving the page the post is embedded on. Click here for the full story.

Facebook’s News Feed Algorithm: What You Need to Know


Previously, Facebook relied on a system called EdgeRank to compile stories in News Feeds. Now retired, the social network is using new signals to organize feeds, such as who people interact with, what they like, and the kinds of stories they interact with most. Starting today, you’ll have access to the brand new LinkedIn Company Page analytics. With this new set of analytics, you can:

  • Identify the updates that drive the greatest engagement

  • Get more detailed demographic data about your followers
  • See the growth of your follower base and benchmark it against similar brands

Pinterest Emails You When Product Pin Prices Drop

Instagram Expands Their Video Options

Instagram recently launched video on Instagram and since it’s debut Instagram has been getting lots of high-fives for making the switch to enhance the visual social media shift! Now, Instagram is happy to announce that they’re bringing another major update to video Instagram! They’ve “included a few of the most requested features and added something special as well.” Marketers could use this to their advantage by uploading previous segments of webinars and sharing it with their Instagram followers.

Doritos Real-Time Marketing efforts are cheesy good

“This week, the snacker becomes the snack.”

This week Doritos posted a photo on Facebook and Twitter of a chip-like dorsal fin cruising through the water. The inspiration was the latest phenomenon craze “Shark Week” . The picture, depicts people running from the cheesy-flavored shark, but one bold man diving toward the snacking adventure.

Brafton comments “Perhaps real-time marketing is most effective when it speaks to entertainment events, rather than exploits celebrity activities. Could Americans draw the line when it comes to profiting off of other’s actual lives? If so, maybe the world isn’t so upside-down after all.”
